| Tossing and turning in his
bed, Chris tried to get some sleep. It wasn't the easiest thing for him.
The words of his brother kept haunting him and he couldn't cope with the
fact that it was actually his fault that Patricia was gone. His stubbornness
and his determination to get the demon that was attacking their family for
a few weeks now, that all had cause the great loss to his family. Lying on his back he stared at the ceiling. Closing his eyes in one more effort to fall asleep, he pulled the covers up to his head. After 10 minutes he gave up and turned his body, dropping his face in his pillow he sighed. Tilting his head to his nightstand he stared at the locket he had placed on it. The moon shone on it and little sparks were made by it. He didn't know how long he was staring at it but after a while Chris finally fell asleep. The locket started to glow and as a bright light emerged from it, it covered Chris with it. "Chris Chris can you hear me?" A sweet soft voice spoke to the sleeping Chris. "Chris I know that you can hear me, come on you ape wake up." Chris mumbled something not audible. He wasn't planning on waking up, not now he finally fell asleep. "Come on Chrissie don't make me use force on you to wake you." Chris turned his head away from the voice not intending to wake up at all. "Ok you asked for it." Jumping on the bed, Chris startled and sat up straight. "What the hell?" Rubbing his eyes, he opened them staring in a very familiar face. Rubbing his eyes again to make sure he wasn't imagining it. "It's ok Chris you see it al right." Touching his face to prove that she was real. "But how " He started not understanding why he was staring in the face of his sister. "They said you were dead." Chris took her hand from his face and pulled her closer so he could hug her. "I'm not dead but I'm not here either. You have to listen to me Chris." Patricia sighed it was good to feel a familiar pair of arms around her. "I'll listen " Chris pulled back and stared in her eyes. "Chris I'm not dead but I don't know where I am exactly. This sound a bit stupid but you actually have to find me." She produced a slight smile. "What do you mean?" Chris said staring at her. He didn't get it she was sitting right here why did he have to find her? "Chris listen, I'm not really here. This is a dream world, I could reach you through that locket on your nightstand. I don't know how you got it but it sure came in handy." Patricia placed her hands on his face. "You have to find me Chris. I've been trying to reach you all for weeks now." She felt the tears burn behind her eyes and she looked him in the eyes. Staring back Chris didn't know what to say, he pulled her in his arms again. "They took my powers away " He started and Patricia pulled back looking at him. "They did what? How could they?" "I did some stupid things and mom and dad thought this would be for the best for now." Chris scratched his head when he saw her look. "Don't ask ok. I don't have my powers and I have no clue how to help you." Chris sighed and Patricia stumped him on the shoulder. "Hey why did you do that for?" Chris rubbed his shoulder. "Ask Wyatt " She said folding her arms. "I can't ask him, he hates my guts. He's blaming me for what happened to you." Chris replied he got another stump on the shoulder. "Hey knock that out." He said annoyed. "I stop doing that if you stop being such a whiner. Since when do you listen to what Wyatt says?" Chris looked at her, she had a point but she could've made it different. The locket started to glow again and they both looked at it. "I think it's time " Patricia started. "No you can't leave " Chris replied in shock. "I have no choice Chris, find me ok? Ask Wyatt for help." Brushing his cheek the glow got bigger and when it was to bright Chris closed his eyes. Opening his eyes he found himself staring at the locket. Just like before he fell asleep. That was weird had he dreamt this all? Was his guilt that big that he had dreamt about his sister? Sitting up he felt the pain in his shoulder. Right where Patricia had hit him twice. He was confused, staring at the locket he swung his legs out of bed. Picking it up he turned it around in his hand again. "Where did you come from?" he said to himself. Placing it back he sighed. It had felt so real, rubbing his shoulder he grimaced. It felt sore and he knew that it wasn't a dream, he was sure about it. "Wyatt!" Chris said a bit louder. He waited for the blue and white orbs but he wasn't sure if they would come. He hadn't spoken to his brother since he had found out what really happened to Patricia, well what they thought happened to her. "Wyatt god damned it's important!" Chris raised his voice and a bit of annoyance came through. Finally the room got lit by the orbs of his brother. "What?" He snapped at him. "And hello to you too." Chris replied. "I hope it's important because mom is going to kill me if she finds me here." Wyatt grumbled. He wasn't at all pleased that Chris had called him but for some reason he couldn't ignore the calls of his brother. He didn't had his powers anymore so he was vulnerable. "Yes it is important, I found this locket " "You let me come for a locket?" Wyatt frowned was his brother serious about this? "Can you let me finish this? Good I found this locket and when I went to bed this night I had this dream but it wasn't a dream. It was Patricia, she came to me telling me that she was in trouble and that she wasn't dead. I thought it was a dream but she had hit me and my shoulder is still hurting and I know for sure I didn't hurt it before I went to bed so it can only hurt because she hit me there twice " Chris stopped his rambling and looked at his brother who stared at him like he went mad or something. "Chris, dude Patricia is dead. It was just a dream that's all." Wyatt sighed. His brother was clearly further along the way of insanity then he had thought. "No, no it wasn't a dream. Well it was but this was different. Trust me Wyatt, I could feel her. She told me that they were keeping her there." Chris tried to convince him, that he would help him find their sister. "And who are 'they'?" Wyatt asked not really sure if his brother took a hit in the head. "I dunno, she didn't say that " Chris scratched his head. "But " "No buts Chris, she's dead and that's final. I have better things to do." Wyatt looked at his brother one more time before he orbed out. "Wyatt wait " Chris started but it was no use Wyatt already left. Staring at the spot his brother was standing just a few seconds ago he sighed. He wouldn't listen to him. He wasn't surprised actually. "Now what?" he said to himself kinda defeated. How was he supposed to help Patricia out without any powers? Wait no powers didn't mean he wasn't a witch anymore. He can cast spells, scry all other magical stuff that didn't involve his powers. A smile turned on his face and his eyes started to sparkle with this boyish look. He was going to get Patricia back no matter what. |
